A strong 4 inches of snow overnight with another 2 or 3 expected before noon.  Partly cloudy this afternoon, just a few clouds tonight.  A NW breeze today with a high of 26.  Tonight's low 12.  Partly cloudy tomorrow with a north breeze, a high of 29, a low of 8.  Sunshine Thursday with a light NNW breeze, a high of 30, a low of 6.  Sunshine Friday with a gentle NW breeze, a high 32, a low of 10.  Partly cloudy Saturday with a gentle north breeze, a high of 33, a low of 19. PM showers Sunday with a light NE breeze, a high of 35, a low of 32.  Rain Monday with a stiff ESE breeze, a high of 45, a low of 33.  Partly cloudy New Year's Eve Day with a north breeze, a high of 41.  Light rain after midnight with a low of 31.  Rain Wednesday with an ENE breeze, a high of 40.  Showers after midnight with a low of 34.  Clouds Thursday the 2ed and Friday the 3rd with brisk WNW breezes.  Thursday's high 39, the low  28.  Friday's high 34, the low 21.  Partly cloudy the weekend of the 4th and 5th and into the next week,  Brisk NW breezes with highs in the mid twenties, lows in the mid teens.

    This afternoon is the Smith family Christmas.  Yesterday we arranged the furniture to make as much room as possible.  Andrew and Gayle are busy making enough ziti to feed everyone.  The girls have Texas toast to go with it.  No deserts,  we have more sweets than we need over the holidays.  There are large bowls of fruit and nuts.  After we eat we'll light the Christ candle in the Advent wreath.  Then the children are going to sing some Christmas carols and read the Bible story.  About the time they finish singing Santa will show up.  Then there are some gifts to open.  Many leave here  to go to another Christmas celebration..  Tiffany and Evan will go to St Albans for Christmas with Barbie's family.  Then they will drive home to Rhode Island for Christmas with Evan's family.
