With the chaos of Christmas I forgot to keep track of my new mouse and keyboard.  They ran out of power before I could finish the loop this morning.  They were an early Christmas gift because I had worn out the mouse and keyboard that came with the computer.  After I charged the keyboard I had to get out the book to see what key I had to push to pair it back up with the computer.  Azalea was up early so we opened gifts before I did the weather or started on the Loop.
Yesterday was a good day except that four were missing because they had to work.  Lexi and Justin weren't here.  New baby was supposed to arrive on the 19th.  About the time they would have been coming over here Lexi felt like it could be any time.  They are at the hospital, we are waiting for the call!
Barbeie bought a vegetable/cheese and cracker display, others bought cookies.  Andrew and Gayle bought pan after pan of ziti.  The girls fixed trays of Texas toast. No one went hungry!  There is enough left for tonight's meal!
In the past the children have acted out the Christmas story.  There are so many of us now there isn't room for a "stage".  After the Christ Advent candle was lit Sally Jo read the Christmas story from Luke.  Some of the kids had learned three carols.  They sang for us after the story was read.  Soon after they finished singing Santa came walking in.  Last year Claire was the littlest who wanted nothing to do with Santa.  This year it was Ruby.  Her mother sat on Santa's lap with her sisters for pictures.   Ruby had her head buried in her mother's shoulder hanging on tight for the picture.  This year Claire was in nearly everyone's picture because she just loved Santa.  She didn't want him to leave.  There were a few gifts for everyone and more visiting.  Mid afternoon families started leaving because there were more family Christmases to go to.  I took a nap and went to the Christmas Eve service.  Our pastor does Christmas Eve service at another church after ours so ours is at six.
There is so much love at Christmas.  May the Joy of Christ inspire us to share that love all year.  Sally
