9/3/24 We can’t always change what happens around us but we can change what happens within us.

Clear, calm, 46 degrees.  Sunshine with strong WNW breezes, a high of 70.  A few clouds tonight with a low of 50. Partly cloudy tomorrow with a WNW breeze, a high of 79, a low of 53.  Sunshine Thursday with a brisk SSW breeze, a high of 81, a low of 51.  Sunshine Friday with a SSE breeze, a high of 75, a low of 55.  Partly cloudy Saturday with  an ESW breeze, a high of 74, a low of 56.  Showers Sunday with an ESE breeze, a high of 68, a low of 52. Perhaps some PM showers Monday with a high of 69, a low of 52.   Partly cloudy next Tuesday through next Friday with NW breezes, highs about 70, lows 51 to 49.  Partly cloudy the weekend of the 14th and 15th with NW breezzes, highs of 75, lows about 52.  Partly cloudy Monday the 15th with and Tuesday the 16th with WSW breezes, highs of 74, lows of 52.

   Another pleasant day except for Doug.  he was plagued with breakdowns as he tried to finish haying.  There was almost a haying season with no break downs but it just couldn't happen!  Today is a new day.   If all goes according to plan they will get everything but the greenhouse moved today.  Can they get haying done and the new greenhouse moved to its spot here this week?

    Heather made bouquets for each of the kids' teachers so Darel is taking them to school.  Bouquets might not do well on the bus.  

    It was cool enough so I decided to test the new stove.  I pushed the on button and walked away.  Soon there was a nice flame showing through the stove window just as there was supposed to be.  With the front room warm I need to water the houseplants that didn't go outside for the summer.  These night time temperatures have me thinking about bringing the ones outside back in.  I was late getting them out and I was hoping I could be late bringing them in.
