Hannah did not have kidney stones, she had calcium deposits.  She had planned to have the baby at home with a midwife.  She said all that happened was God's way of making sure Josephine was born in a neonatal unit where she could have oxygen immediately as she had breathing problems.  Downs syndrome babies often have heart defects.  Josephine's are the less serious.  Mother and baby are doing well and appreciate all the love and prayers.
Gilbert picked pumpkins yesterday.  He isn't very impressed with his crop, a common refrain we are hearing from pumpkin growers this year.  Bekah and Jay picked some tomatoes, filling orders for canning tomatoes
Some hay was baled yesterday, more will be baled today.  It won't take very many loads to fill the barn.
We are getting a few pullet eggs each day.  They haven't figured out what the nest boxes are for, they are just laying them wherever they happen to be.
May your day be blessed, Sally
