Early last evening I got a call from my son Kevin in Alaska.  His daughter Hannah's baby was due this weekend.  Because of kidney stones doctors induced labor Monday, Baby Josephine was born Tuesday.  When Kevin called Hannah was in surgery to try to break up the kidney stones because her kidney was swollen.  Doctors have told Hannah and Derek that they believe the baby has Downs Syndrome.  There is also a problem with the baby's heart.  Tests today will tell them if the problem is serious.  I'm asking for healing prayers for Hannah and for the family as they move forward.  Josephine has a family who will surround her with love and help her be all she can be whatever her problems may be.
Yesterday was another beautiful fall day.  While waiting for the dew to dry off the hay Doug stated the excavation work for the new greenhouse.  Jay and Bekah were happy  to get started.  The chickens were not.  They didn't know what was going on outside their windows but they didn't like it.  Bekah harvested the spaghetti squash.  It was growing where the greenhouse is going.  So are some of the other winter squashes.  They were going to mark out exactly where the greenhouse was going so they would know what other squash needed to be harvested.
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday.. Some of my bloodwork results are back.  My iron level is not back yet.  My red blood cell count was back and good news, it is now in the normal range. Several other tests were back and were in the normal range.
May your day be blessed, Sally
