A quiet Sunday.  It was Jay and Bekah's anniversary.  Jay kept the soaker hoses going and they kept the stand filled but pretty much cooled it.  They went out to dinner in the evening.  They were going to bring home things from the greenhouse they bought but Bangor got rain.
After church I figured out how much the new pullets had eaten in feed so far, $10.10 worth each.  As chicks they cost $4.50. Plus electricity for the brooder when they were little.  When people tell me how much they are making on eggs I try to explain that the cost of raising them needs to be figured in.  It wasn't very many years ago that the food cost went up to six dollars and I thought that was a lot!
I bought a sturdy baker's rack at a yard sale.  Lil Andrew set it up on the back deck.  attached to the garage to make sure it never fell over.  It is for my house plants in summer.  I put several out yesterday, better late than never!  Mostly scented geraniums.  They always seem to appreciate getting out of the house.  I am well aware fall is on its way.  The days are much shorter. The first round of swallows has left.  I didn't see the second round this morning.  They've been lined up on the power lines every morning.  Are they gone too?  I'm going to go look at pellet stoves this afternoon.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
