Between the raccoon and the skunk we were out of barn cat food.  I had a list of things besides cat food for Sam's and boxes the drop off at
goodwill.  It was too hot to work outside so I went to Bangor.  Tuesday afternoon and Sam's was packed.   Usually Sam's handicapped parking spaces are full.  Yesterday I got the spot closest to the door!  Last night the garage doors were shut.
The last partial load of hay went in the barn.  That mow in full.  Doug and Bekah left before five this morning to catch the ferry to North Haven to deliver hay.  Doug has an enclosed trailer to protect the hat from splashing salt water.
Everyone but Bekah went to the lake yesterday afternoon.  Cooling off by swimming didn't last long!
Yesterday some goldfinches brought their fledglings to the feeders.  Another set of purple finch parents brought their fledglings to the feeders.  Some of the earlier fledglings were only at the feeders a short time.  They must be venturing out in the natural world for food.
Jay will be trying to get everything harvested before Beryl's remnants move in.  Bekah will be back a little after nine to help.  The forecast says we don't need to water!  May God bless your day, Sally
