Yesterday wasn't quite as hot, 92 was the highest I saw.  The nursery is closed Mondays so after harvesting everyone went to the picnic for a picnic and swimming.  I was glad I am well enough to help the few customers who came, not realizing we were closed.  I did quite a bit of watering. They got home late in the afternoon to load hay.  All but about fifty bales were loaded  in customer's trucks and trailers right in the field.  The fifty left went in our barn.  They also did lots more watering.
Last night Jay went out in the garage to see what was going on,  A big raccoon pulled its head out of the cat food bag and started coming toward him, hissing. him.  He dispatched it with some blows to the head with a two by four.   It's in the compost pile.  The hard way to get rid of a problem.  He said it had a hole in one leg.
I'm not sure what today will bring. Bekah is taking care of animals, Jay is harvesting.  It's been so hot I need to clean the hummingbird feeders and give them fresh food. May God bless your day, Sally.
