7/6/24 Yesterday's storms went north of us.  We got ,07 inch of rain.  Dense fog now, calm, 66 degrees,  Rain showers this morning, thunderstorms developing this afternoon and evening. A light SE breeze with a high of 76.  Tonight's low, 68 with some fog.  Partly cloudy tomorrow with a WSW breeze, a high of 87, a low of 65.  Sunshine Monday with a WSW breeze, a high of 88, a low of 66.  Pm showers Tuesday the 9th with a SW breeze, a high of 89, a low of 68.  PM showers.  Scattered thunderstorms Wednesday with a west breeze, a high of 83, a low of 65.  Morning showers next Thursday with an ESE breeze, a high of 80, a low of 64.  Morning showers Friday with a south breeze, a high of 83, a low of 67.  Partly cloudy next Saturday with a WSW breeze, a high of 87, a low of 68.  Weather to make hay from Sunday 14th through the next Sunday, the 20th.  High eighties/low nineties with west breezes the first three days.  Temperatures in the mid eighties the rest of the week with mostly south breezes.  Lows in the sixties.

Only round bales were baled yesterday.  Loose hay and broken bales were fed to the cows.  I filled 14 chicken feed bags with fines from around the conveyor to use for bedding and in the nest boxes next winter.  It started sprinkling hard enough to get things wet just as Jay was carrying the bags into the barn.
Cindy and I weeded flower gardens.  Cindy mowed around the house.  Lamium ground cover has taken over one flower bed.  I'm going to soak it this morning.  I'll dig it up and Bekah will pot it up for sale.  In between customers and cleaning up hay Jay found time to mow the rest of the yard.
Jay had picked several crates of  cucumbers early.in the day.  People were coming from away and buying 45/fifty cucumbers at a time to share with family and neighbors.
It bothered me to see Cindy working so hard.  She said she was just happy she could do it.  She knew how discouraged I was because I couldn't keep things neat.  It has been a good season but everyone has been overwhelmed.  Jay and Bekah were as happy as I was  to have the yard around the door neat and welcoming.  I'll be able to do some more today between showers.  Jay is harvesting.  Doug mowed the oats and peas, he and Bekah are wrapping the round bales.  Cindy is heading home early to beat the traffic.
May your day be blessed, Sally
