Another hot day yesterday.  The heat cooked up thunderstorms again.  this time we got .29 of rain and lots of thunder and lightning.  We lost power for a few hours.  No lightning damage like the barn in LaGrange Wednesday. The firefighters were able to save the attached house.
Every year we dig burdock.  Even so there are always some to dig the next year.   Yesterday Bekah would dig some burdock and then she'd come into the cool house and work on next spring's nursery order.  Bailey nursery is bareroot.  That means a lot of work when the order is delivered.  But the selection is much better and she can place the order now.  By ordering now and going with a larger nursery she hopes to get everything she orders
The forecast says the next few days are perfect for planting the watermelon and any other odds and ends.  Jay will be able to spend less time watering.  Bekah won't be haying so she can do more with the nursery.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
