Annabelle's birthday is today but she and I celebrated at Amy Bishop's hair salon yesterday. We both had a pleasant time and Ammabelle loved her new hair do.  Amy could tell from Annabelle's hair that she had hard water at home.  She suggested that once a week she mix a tbsp. of baking soda with her shampoo and then rinse her hair with apple cider vinegar.  She said those simple ingredients do as well or better than the fancy stuff that comes in a pretty bottle.
Jay picked 85 cucumbers yesterday, they are gone.  He'll be picking more this morning.  He's going to dig some potatoes and see how large they are.  There are lots of perennials blooming  and the weather is good for planting so there is a steady line of customers.  There are some big tomato plants for people who want to plant a plant or two in a five gallon bucket on their patio.
Knowing it was going to rain last night Doug baled the hay in the big round bales and wrapped it.  It looks like the weather will be good for square bales next week.  Let's hope the forecast doesn't change again..  Gilbert reminded me that the Boyd lake boat parade was at ten on the 4th.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
