Gilbert tilled the watermelon patch yesterday.  Jay worked on it when he wasn't watering.  He'll have it ready to plant the melon plants Friday when the weather cools.  When Bekah wasn't helping Doug wrap the big round bales she was watering.  As hot as it was there was a nice breeze .  Several customers came for plants.  This weekend there will be good planting weather.
The new filter for the garden pod pump came.  Putting it in is a good job for this hot day.  We'll be looking to see if any of the tadpoles the kids put in the pond survived.  We are afraid the big bull frog might eat them.
I watered the hanging baskets and the plants around the house before I went to pt.  I soaked the church box when I went to pt.  A church family is going to help me take the pansies out and put geraniums in the box for summer when this heat leaves.  Pansies go dormant in summer's heat.  They usually perk back up in the cool fall weather so I will replant them in the shade.
May your day be blessed.  Stay hydrated.  Do you have an elderly neighbor that should be checked om?  Sally
