My sister Lynne's husband Tom died yesterday morning.  Despite the sadness, despite the empty place in our lives we could only be thankful the Lord has taken him.  There have been lots of special moments for all of us, including Lynne, the last several weeks.  But also heartbreak and sadness as we watched him struggle.  A strong man and a gentleman.
May's forecast is for somewhat warmer than average, just under average moisture and lots of breezes to blow away the black flies.
Yesterday was another busy day here at the greenhouse.  Strawberry plants, blueberry bushes and asparagus arrived.  We are busy planting strawberries in the ground and busy heeling strawberry plants in trays.  By heeling them in trays they will be healthy and strong for whenever it is convenient for customers to plant them.   Maegin started staining the rose garden fence.  The roses need a display area to match their beauty!
We got notice that the fruit trees will arrive Monday.  A great way to start Open Greenhouse Week!
May God bless you on this day.  Sally
