I have to be careful swatting flies or I will put my back out. I bought an electronic fly trap from amazon. A special light with a sticky card. In two days there is one fly on it. There is no other light in here at night. Fortunately I swat two or three flies when I sit down at the computer in the morning. That seems to clear them out. The trap was a waste of money.
We don't have many hummingbirds so I only have a few feeders out. I gave them a good scrubbing yesterday and put some food in them. In the past there has been a lull in July, then more birds at the feeders in August. Others have commented on how few hummingbirds there are this year.
Jay filled the stand with vegetables yesterday morning. Then he left to help a friend who was hosting an annual summer Barbeque. I closed yesterday afternoon so Bekah could leave early to join them. Why
I was watching for customers. I planted a rose bush that had become infested with grass. They were going to throw it out. If I had known how much work it was to get the roots free of grass I might have thrown it out too. I hope it lives.
The pullets are roosting in the next boxes. Yesterday i closed the boxes off in hopes that if they can't get in the boxes they will roost on the roosts. They should start laying at the end of the month.
Church this morning,an early service. I am meeting Heather in town for an early lunch. I'll be home when the thunderstorms are forecast to roll through in case we lose power. May God bless you on His day, Sally
