7/28/23  No one can destroy iron but it's own rust can. Likewise no one can destroy a person but their own mind set can.

 Possible half inch of rain yesterday was 1.61 inches.  Sunshine today with a stiff WSW breeze, a high of 87.  Some clouds tonight with a WSW breeze, a low of 69.  Possible showers tomorrow as a cold front takes away our heat.  A NW breeze, a high of 74, a low of 58.  Partly cloudy Sunday with a NW breeze, a high of 77, a low of 57.  Possible PM thunderstorms Monday with a NW breeze, a high of 74, a low of 54.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a NW breeze, a high of 73, a low of 53.  Sunshine Wednesday with a NW breeze, a high of 75, a low of 55.  A chance of PM showers Thursday with a brisk SW breeze, a high of 78, a low of 62.  Scattered thunderstorms next Friday and Saturday.  A stiff south breeze Friday with a high of 73, a low of 60.  A WSW breeze Saturday with a high of 76, a low of 59.  Partly cloudy Sunday the 6th, Monday the 7th and Tuesday the 8th with westerly breezes, highs of 78, lows of 59.  Possible showers the next three days with SSE breezes, highs in the mid seventies, lows about 60.

    Jay and Bekah got the beans planted before it rained.  Bekah and I picked the few blueberries that were ripe.   Bekah found four Japanese beetles on the blueberries and disposed of them.I've been finding a few when i picked.  Why are we only finding a few?  Is it because we have so many birds in the air, snakes and toads in the grass?  We have a lot of ladybugs, lacewings, and other good bugs.  Are they eating the beetle eggs before they hatch?  We also hand pick them if we find a spot that seems to have a lot of them. 

    Jay turned on the soaker hose for the watermelons, it wasn't long before he turned it off.  Watering was done for a few days!  Since it was pouring rain Bekah and Darel's Heather got a good start on spring of  24 orders.  If you have something you would like us to order now is the time to talk to Bekah about it.

     A beautiful day with a long to do list.  Bekah says the pumpkin plants they set out last week already need weeded.  May God bless you on this day, Sally
