They pulled the rest of the garlic yesterday.  A beautiful crop grown organically in healthy soil.  Both the mild flavorful Music and the pungent Red Russian did well.  It is in the garage drying.  Today Jay will pick out the best and put it aside for next year's seed crop.  The rest will be sold in the stand.  Next year's garlic will be planted just before freeze up this fall.
They will be picking beans again as soon as the dew dries.  Jay checked the carrots yesterday, they are long but still too thin.  Sugar snap peas are done but the shell peas are coming on.  The sweet onions are bulking u[ nickely.  Shorter days trigger them to make bulbs.  Lots of cute little watermelon and cantaloupe.
Cooler weather will make weeding more pleasant.  This is a good time to fill in blank spots with perennials.  I'm transplanting seedlings of cauliflower, broccoli, and letture.   They will be ready to plant in the garden for fall crops in a few weeks.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
