Jay picked many pounds of green beans yesterday morning. By late afternoon they were all sold. Both he and Bekah will pick this morning. Not just green beans but lots of other vegetables. Shell peas are starting to come on. Green beans will be picked first, the vines stay healthier if they are dry when handled. Dampness doesn't matter to the pea vines. Bekah was delivering hay yesterday morning. With the breeze and warm temperatures she had to start watering as soon as she got home. There were lots of nursery customers yesterday. The forecast of rain and cool temperatures look like planting weather for people.
I watered the flowers at church. Even though I soaked them Sunday the heat and brisk breeze in the middle of that hot parking lot meant they didn't want to wait until this afternoon for water. I had to water all around the house too. Pulling weeds as I went. always weeds! This morning I will bag up more of the fine hay that spilled around the conveyor for chicken nests this winter.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
