A lot was accomplished yesterday.  Nicole decided she didn't have time to plant her pumpkins so she gave them to Bekah.  Bekah, Darel and Heather planted most of them yesterday morning  why I watched for customers.  Jay was harvesting.  Darel had to leave for work at noon.  On his way to work he got a call that the sprinkler system malfunctioned and the restaurant would be closed for a few days.  An unpaid vacation!  They will finish planting the pumpkin plants today.
I did a little in the kitchen garden,  Mostly I potted and trimmed the pansies from the church box.  They will be bright and cheerful this fall when the weather is cooler and flower gardens are looking a bit peaked.  Early afternoon I went to Bangor for the tractor alternator.  When Erin got off work he put it in.  No more making sure we don't shut the tractor off unless we don't need it right away and it is where we can hook a battery charger to it.  Bekah used it to take water down to the pumpkins that didn't get planted.  The ground is wet enough for the planted ones.
I plan to work in the kitchen garden today.  Bekah will water this morning.  Yes , as soon as we have a few days without rain we have to water potted plants.  This afternoon she has a chiropractor appointed for her back.  Hay wagons will be rolling.  now they will be able to use my tractor to move them around.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
