6/25/23 God has given us a wonderful place in which to exist. We should strive every day to treat it with honor and respect. Rev. Bruce Young
Fog, calm. 68 degrees. .48 inch of rain yesterday. Rain this afternoon, light rain overnight. A light NW breeze today gives us an air quality alert as it brings in Canadian wildfire smoke. An east breeze tonight will help get rid of the smoke. Today's high 85, tonight's low 83. Rain tomorrow with an east breeze, a high of 66, a low of 60. Scattered thunderstorms Tuesday with a brisk SE breeze, a high of 72, a low of 64. Showers the next 5 days with SE breezes, highs in the low seventies, lows about 60. Showers next Monday with a SW breeze, a high of 81, a low of 64. Partly cloudy the 4th of July and the 5th with westerly breezes, highs in the low eighties, lows about 65. Scattered thunderstorms the next four days with highs in the low eighties and lows in the mid sixties.
A busy day yesterday even though it was hot and muggy. Lots of customers came by, they must be planning to take advantage of the wet weather to do some planting. Some people lost their cucumber plants, we are sold out. Sold out of seed packets too. So Jay was giving people some seeds from our one pound packet. Our cucumbers have tiny cucumbers on them. The yellow squash has little squash on it.
The loop is late this morning. I did a lot yesterday and the house was very hot and muggly last night. Not good for sleeping. I didn't help the house any by baking bread. But it was sourdough bread that I started Friday. When it is ready to bake it needs to be baked. Then when I finally got up this morning my computer didn't want to come on. After a bit I unplugged it and fed the birds. When I came back in and plugged it in it came on. Don't know what that was about.
Church this morning. Heather will be here late morning to do books. Annabelle's tenth birthday party is this afternoon. At least it is just occasional rain this afternoon, no thundershowers. Prayers today not only for the Candians fighting the wildfires but for those here who will have breathing problems due to the smoke in the air. Sally
