Highs will be in the low seventies until the 1st when they will be in the mid seventies.  Lows will be about 60.

Yesterday was a pleasant and productive day.  Bekah did a little in the nursery, mostly she helped Jay in their yard.  They have been so busy here they haven't cared for their own place.  The rains had made a hayfield of it!  Jay had to weed whack the whole yard.  Everytime Bekah came here for something she would comment on how nice it was looking.  Jay just got all the yards here mowed.  With all the moisture they need it again.  The path the heifers take to their pasture is so muddy in spots that Bekah is putting old hay and grass raked up from clean up in the mud.
I planted cucumbers in one of my raised beds.  I weeded and planted flowers in two other beds. Some perennials, some annuals.  Anywhere grass has come in it has gotten very tall and lanky.  The chickens would rather I found them tender regrowth to eat.  A truck load of mulch arrived yesterday.  I am trying to get all the planting done, then I'll go back and mulch.  Some places I mulch as I clean with the hay I banked the house with.
Rachael's Evan bought me some 85 year old sourdough starter he got from one of his professors in college.  Fifty some years ago when we were on the homestead I baked with sourdough starter.  Not only because it tasted good but we didn't have to buy yeast. Money was scarce back then. Today I'll start using the starter.  Evan gave me instructions and we'll see how good my memory is.  I used to make pancakes and cakes as well as bread with sourdough.
The sun is breaking through the clouds calling me outside.  I have PT later this morning, I have a list of things I want to do before I go.  May God bless you on this day, Sally
