The breeze made it a bit chilly yesterday but the breeze kept the black flies away. The sun shone on the Mothers. Our family celebrated with a cookout after church. Mike not only provided the food and manned the grill but he cleaned the garage! The greenhouse was busy, Bekah and Jay visited with customers instead of family. I think they each managed to grab a burger.
Late in the day Rachael and Evan came down and got their chicks. Their chicks aren't chicks anymore, they are young pullets, chicken teenagers. They asked me to come see the room they had made for them in the barn. Their chickens went from adequate living quarters to luxurious! I doubt that anyone else in their class got chickens for a graduation gift! Chickens and an assortment of herbs for a herb garden. Plus their own copy of Mixes in a Jar by Renee Pottle. A cookbook I have that everyone uses.
The sun is peeking through the clouds, the breeze is blowing the black flies away. Another good day for gardening. I watered last night because I have a nine o'clock PT appointment . My back needs to be put back in place. I'll water the pansies in the church box before I go so I don't chance undoing her work. There were too many cars in the way yesterday after church.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
