Yesterday the nursery broke a record for total sales in a day.  Jay and Bekah were very thankful that both Heathers were here to help them help customers.  A lot of the nursery order that came on Friday is gone.  So are lots of tomato plants.  I hope the buyers listen to Jay and Bekah's warning to not put them out until the end of this week.  We are having a family picnic this afternoon but the greenhouse will be open for last minute Mother's Day shoppers.  A NW wind will continue to blow the black flies away.  It is nice to not have any black flies but the drying winds mean Jay and Bekah will have to water plants this morning.
The sale of Heather and Mike's farm went through without a hitch Friday.  The only problem, the new owners will have to deal with ticks.  Mike and Heather never saw a tick until this last week.  The chickens left two weeks ago.  They had no idea the hens were eating so many ticks.
My hummingbirds have finally returned.  I washed the feeders and put fresh food in them.  I have more feeders to put out if needed.  No sign of an oriole yet.  The swallows are back too.  We don't have anywhere near as many swallows as we used to have. The rose-breasted grosbeaks aren't here yet.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
