Yesterday was a quiet day.  The Amish didn't come to work on the baker so Jay and Bekah were able to get some things done in the greenhouse.  Enough snow has melted to allow Jay to clean up half the soil display area and put down pallets.  He is counting on Saturday's rain to melt the rest of the snow.  They had to run water again.  It looks like they won't be able to leave the hoses out until next Monday.
There are lots of blackbirds around but not the flocks of hundreds that I'm seeing in the corn fields.  We seem to be down to two pairs of cardinals.  Two grosbeaks are still here. Nuthatches, titmouse, chickadees, finches, woodpeckers and of course the  little brown birds make up the rest of the birds at the feeders.  So far the blackbirds have ignored the suet.
I've no idea what today will bring but I'm sure it will be pleasant and busy.  My God be with you, Sally
