Clear, calm, 30 degrees.  Some clouds move in mid day,more sun than clouds later this afternoon.  A NE breeze with a high of 58, tonight's low 29.  Clouds tomorrow with an east breeze, a high of 53.  A low of 36 tomorrow night with rain after midnight.  Rain Friday with light east wind, a high of 46, a  low of 35.  Afternoon showers Saturday with a brisk SW breeze, a high of 57, a low of 37.  Partly cloudy Sunday with a strong NW breeze, a high of 55, a  low of 37.  Partly cloudy Monday with a NNW wind, a high of 55 and a low of 33.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a west breeze, a high of 57, a low of 41.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a brisk WNW breeze, a high of 64, a low of 43.  Cloudy next Thursday with a stiff WSW breeze, a high of 59, a low of 45.  Showers next Friday into Saturday morning.   A strong WSW breeze Friday with a high of 52, a low of 40.  A stiff NW breeze Saturday with a high of 54, a low of 37.  Stiff NW breezes the week of the 17th with partly cloudy skies, some showers mid week.  Highs in the mid fifties, lows about 39..

    Yesterday was a quiet day.  Debbie caught the crud the kids had last week.  Where we will be so busy the rest of this week I suggested she stay home another day.  Maegin doesn't work Tuesdays, she works Saturdays instead.  Violet's "first thing in the morning" scan ran so late they got home last night at about seven.  It will be a few days before they get results.

    A woodchuck dug into the greenhouse from under the headhouse and ate some petunias.  I put some bubble gum down the hole.  Last  year a problem woodchuck ate the bubblegum I put out for it and we never saw it again.  I hope the bubblegum works this time!

    I took my tax information to the accountant.  I also stopped to get my glasses checked, the lens are not clear.  The anti scratch coating is defective and will get worse.  If I had gone back in the first year they would have replaced them for free.   Or if I had gone for my one year checkup.  Now it has been well over a year and even with a 20% discount the new lens will be $170.  I scheduled a checkup for the 26th.  I will get new lens after I'm sure my prescription hasn't changed.

    I made a few other quick stops and got home on time to shut up the greenhouse and tuck everything in for the night.   I'm still cracking the hose at night.
