A good day yesterday, 60  degrees and sunshine.  The stiff breeze kept us from moving plants out to the cold frames.  Maigin cleaned the store and took out the inventory from the house..  The new coffee pot is set up but we can't plug it in until Friday when we unplug the heat mats.  They take a lot of electricity, we don't want to flip a breaker.  More inventory will come Wednesday and Friday.  House plants won't go out until Thursday when the nights are warmer.  When Maegin got done with the store she did more transplanting.
I called to add a case of 10 inch hanging baskets to Wednesday's order.  There were none in Gray, in all of Griffin's greenhouses there were only two cases.  In the Pennsylvania warehouse.  And they don't know when they will be able to get more.  I'm getting one case.  The Paris Farmers Union truck came.  He was able to back in ok.  That was the end of his successful delivery.  His pallet jack got stuck, The wood pallet on it broke and got stuck on the stuck pallet jack.  Doug was going by to pick up sayp  The driver had no idea who he was but saw a tractor that could help him so he waved him down.  Doug was stopping anyway.  They managed to get the pallet jack unstuck.
Doug told them to just get the pallet of mulch off the truck and he'd take care of it after he collected sap.  Doug left.  The driver and his helper spent until Doug came back by with the sap trying to get their liftgate to work.  While Doug went to get the big tractor the driver, his helper and a neighbor moved the pallet of compost out of the driveway.  Going by the neighbor thought things didn't look like they were going smoothly so he stopped.  With the help of Doug's tractor they got the liftgate back under the truck.  Doug grabbed the mulch pallet with his bale grabber which meant bags of mulch fell out the bottom but all but about 20 bags got where it was supposed to go.  Through all of this the driver was very pleasant, and kept apologizing.  I was just thankful we were his last stop and Doug came along to lelp.  Things happen!  He was headed home two hours later than he thought he would be when he pulled in here!
I did get the price sheets made up yesterday.  A major accomplishment.  I sent them to Bekah and she only saw a few things that could be changed.  No good news on the prices, everything went up.  Talking to the driver and the Griffin rep yesterday I'm just glad we have what we need.  Usually I plan on another order of sils and inventory coming at the end of the month.  I was advised  to get everything now, I'm glad I did.
Violet has a full body scan today to see what the last two weeks accomplished.  May God be with you on this day, Sally
