Happy day yesterday! Big Andrew came by with a big hug after ten weeks of working on the Outer Banks.  Ten weeks can seem like a long time!
Spring has arrived in my house.  Pastor Cindy and her friend Alassa put up my summer curtains.  white with flowers and butterflies on them.  The get together room is so bright and springlike now !  They also planted lots of seeds.  Alassa is in a horticulture program in Mass. and helping me for a few days is an assignment.  We went over the orderbooks and planting calendars.  They'll be back tomorrow.  We'll check out the cold frames and little greenhouses.  The perennial benches are still all wrapped up in blankets and white plastic but she'll get an idea of the layout.
Back to the normal number of finches yesterday.  Where did they all come from Sunday?  How did they all find out there was food here?  Another skunk has moved in behind the house.  The live trap will be set tonight.
The final bos fill notice for plugs and cuttings came yesterday.  No more trying to figure out substitutes or changing schedules for greenhouse room.  We are pleased with what we are going to have for flowers.
May God be with you on this day, Sally
