A dusting of snow out there.  I will be thankful for a couple of cold days giving the builders and woodsman a chance to haul supplies and wood.  The sap will pour out of the trees when it warms up.  Yesterday i ran new cords out to the calibrachoa house so we can move calibrachoas to that greenhouse after we move pansies to an unheated greenhouse.  Calibrachoas can take the cold but need it a little warmer than pansies to keep growing a good root system. Today we'll transplant celery.  A slow tedious job .  We'll put the trays of celery underneath until we start making room Wednesday.  After celery white asylum.  Another slow job.  But white asylum smells so nice and attracts good bugs that eat bad bugs.  Thursday the sumo petunias will be bumped up into larger pots and moved to the back room.  They grow so fast, they need to get in larger pots so they don't get root bound.
We'll get started on marigolds too.  Lots of marigolds.  People want them in their flower gardens, gardeners want to plant them with their tomatoes and peppers.  They repel and destroy nematodes that destroy tomato plants.  and they attract pollinators.  They are a favorite of wasps.. Yes, wasps are pollinators too.  Including a wasp that lays its eggs on tomato hornworms.  When the eggs hatch they eat the hornworm.
Bekah and VIolet will be in the hospital all this week for Violet's first round of immunotherapy.  Jay will stay with them some of the time.  This past week has been very hard on all of them because the medicine Violet has had to take to prepare her for the therapy has made her ache and feel miserable.  The doctors say she will feel good once this week is over.  Until the next round.
May God be with you on this day.  Sally
