4/6/19
Today is the day to start stressing, less, hurrying less, smiling and hugging more, making more time for others and being thankful.

32 degrees, a west breeze and clouds.  An inch of snow overnight, some wintery mix possible this morning.  A high of 52 this afternoon with a brisk WSW breeze and a low of 31 tonight.  Partly cloudy tomorrow with a stiff NW breeze, a high of 52 and a low of 27.  5 or 6 inches of snow Monday with a stiff east breeze, a high of 33 and a low of 30.  I just report the weather, I'm not responsible for it!  Rain/snow showers Tuesday with a NE breeze, a high of 43 and a low of 27.  Possibly a few snow flakes Wednesday morning with a brisk NNW breeze, a high of 39 and a low of 25.  Partly cloudy Thursday with a stiff NW breeze, a high of 45 and a low of 30.  Partly cloudy Friday with a WSW breeze, a high of 51 and a low of 36.  Showers next Saturday, showers are forecast for very day except Thursday, the 18th, through the 20th.  highs are forecast to be near 50 or 50,, lows in the low to mid thirties.  Stiff NW breezes every day.
Darel had a good day yesterday with a ride to Corinth for ice cream at the Creamery and a Chef's salad from Countryside for supper.
I mostly water yesterday.  I planted some seeds and got ready to move to the hoop house today. Siince April weather is not to be trusted everything has to be in place in case it turns cold.  I am fortunate that all the plants look great despite last the cold and high winds.  The pansies will be glad to get out of the hot greenhouse.  And the petunias that are moving to the hoop house are way over crowded.  The pansies are going in the place in the hoop house reserved for cucumbers.  Surely it will stop snowing by the time I'm planting cucumbers!
The snowbanks behind the house are ice banks, covered with sunflower shells so it is possible to walk on them.  There is a huge chunk of ice on the back deck where snow came off the roof.  I sanded it yesterday so I could get to the ice banks and fill the bird feeders.  Now I just hope the grackles let my regulars eat.  Usually if I chase the grackles a few times they stay away for awhile.  But i really don't have time to be guarding the feeders!
A busy day ahead for me, i hope yours is good, Sally
