4/10/19
Real joy comes from doing something worthwhile.

Cloudy, calm and 29 degrees.  Dusting of snow overnight.  Cloudy today with a north breeze, a high of 42 and a low of 27 tonight.  Sunny tomorrow with a NW breeze, a high of 49, dropping to 24 tomorrow night.  Cloudy Friday with a SW breeze, a high of 49 and a low of 38.  Late afternoon thunderstorms Saturday with a stiff SW breeze, a high of 63 and a low of 37.  Cloudy Sunday with stiff WNW breeze, a high of 52 and a low of 35,  Showers Monday with a strong ENE breeze, a high of 43 and a low of 37.  Possible morning showers Tuesday with a NW wind, a high of 44 and a low of 34.  Partly cloudy next Wednesday with a stiff NNW breeze, a high of 51 and a low of 33.  Showers Thursday, April 18th, through Easter weekend and into the next week with highs in the low fifties and lows in the high thirties or forty.  Partly cloudy Wednesday, the 24th with a high of 59 and a low of 39.
Darel's day went well yesterday with a ride to Corinth for propane and a stop at the Creamery.
Mine did not go so well, mostly my attitude.  An east wind makes the house and the greenhouse chilly.  With the back room open I really had to push the fires to keep the greenhouse warm.  The wind comes across Gilbert's fields and hits us.  Walking through snow to check on outside greenhouses and the cold frame on April 9th with a high of 36??  How are the killdeer making it?  To top the day off the big flock of grackles came back.  I did not get much done besides maintaining everything.   Tamarra got lots of peppers transplanted and cleaned up the corner where we open soil bags and dump them in barres to add water.  She cleaned up enough spilled soil for me to fill my flower boxes.
Today is a new day.  We are supposed to see forty today. Debbie will b here this morning to transplant the second round of impatiens.   I'm going to clean the store.  Warmth and spring are supposed to return Friday so we can open.  We'll be open most of the time from here on out even though we don't officially open until Open Greenhouse Day on Saturday, May 4th.
Have a good day regardless of your weather!  Sally
