2/13/19
Love isn't love until it's given away.

Darel had a good day yesterday.  We went after chicken feed which helped he day go by faster.  Chicken feed and bird feed.  Feeding the birds hasn't been cheap this winter!
yesterday morning the light bulb and water in the horse barn were fine.  In the afternoon the bulb was out and water froze.  Three teakettles later it was thawed.  That is why I always check it night and morning, so it doesn't freeze solid.  With spiked boots on I had to take them off to get each teakettle of water then put them back on to walk out there.  This storm should improve the walking.  I hope Friday does't ice things back up.  At least if it does next week is supposed to be warm enough so the wind wouldn't polish the driveway.
I have no idea how much snow we have.  The snowplow has been going by every hour or.  just plowing steady to keep the road open.  Schools have been canceled and businesses are closing today.
I slipped plants yesterday and will do more today.  I usually put the ivy in the north windows but right now they are too cold. Plants are beginning to take over the house.
The wind is picking up.  So far the power hasn't flickered.  I do hope we don't lose it.  I'll call it a good day if we just keep our power.  i hope your day goes well, Sally
