Darel had a good day yesterday. His mobility is better than it was before the last couple of "events". Last night we went to the store for some groceries in hopes i can fix some meals he can eat and enjoy.
I was glad I had spiked boots, walking would have been a challenge without them, but i got tired of taking them on and off. It was cold outside but the greenhouse was tolerable. I got quite a bit done. I started lining up pots and trays.
There is one thing i like about the grosbeaks, they make the red squirrel uncomfortable. He doesn't try to chase them and has ti keep moving out of their way. Yesterday i watched him chase a gray squirrel feeding on the ground clear across the road. When he came back he chased the other gray squirrel that was in the feeder across the road. Once in awhile the blue jays will gang up on him, otherwise he clears everything out. After the storm Andrew will need to shovel the snow away from the hoop house. I'm going to ask him to get the live trap out and I'll see if I can trap the red squirrel.
