Dare to be happy, don't be afraid.  This is the day which the Lord has made.

A strong west breeze, clear and 11 degrees.  Sunny today, strong west breezes, a high of 23 and a low of 6 tonight as the breezes die down.  Partly cloudy tomorrow with a NW wind, a high of 19 and a low of 0.  Cloudy Tuesday with a light NNE breeze and a high of 25. 10-20mph ENE winds Tuesday night, 8-12 inches of snow, with a low of 16.  Winds and snow will last into Wednesday with another 5-8 inches of snow and a high of 28 degrees.   Cloudy Wednesday night with a NW breeze and a low of 14.  Partly Cloudy Thursday with a brisk WNW breeze, a high of 31 and a low of 12.  Snow showers Friday with a SE breeze, and a high of 37.  Snow and rain showers Friday night with a low of 31 degrees.  Showers Saturday with a strong SSE breeze and a high of 48.  Rain showers early Saturday night changing to snow showers as the breeze switch to the WSW with a low of 25.  morning snow showers next Sunday with a brisk WNW breeze, a high of 33 and a low of 16. Pleasant next Monday and Tuesday with WNW breezes, highs about 28 and lows about 12.  Several snow showers the rest of the week with highs in the high twenties and lows around 12.

     Darel had a pleasant day yesterday.  It was so cold and windy out that when Doug, Mike and Gilbert stopped in they were in no hurry to go to work and sat around talking.  Darel enjoys just sitting there listening to them talk.  In the afternoon  Mike and Heather stopped by.  We'll decide about church when Darel gets up.

     No birds yesterday except for a few blue jays under the rose bushes.  My path was iced over so I had to wear my spiked boots.  and let the winds buffet me when I had to stand still to brace myself against the gusts.  I did nothing outside but take hot water to the hens and collect eggs.  It was still windy in the afternoon but the hens water wasn't frozen and I didn't have to brace myself against the gusts.  NW winds are still 12 to 18mph.

    Heather and I filled out the paperwork allowing us to continue to take food stamps.  Well not food stamps anymore, an EBT machine to accept cards.  I've had a lot of trouble with the machine not working but I'm hoping a new machine means no more problems.  A machine hooked up to a phone line because we can't seem to get a machine to work on our internet.
