Don't try to give your kids the things you wish you had, instead give them your time and teach them things you wish you'd known.

Some clouds, 10 degrees with a gentle west breeze.  A light nW breeze today, sun this afternoon with a high of 23 and a low of 13 tonight.  3-5 inches of snow tomorrow with a light NNE breeze, a high of 28 and a low of 14.  Sunny Thursday with a west breeze, a high of 28 and a low of 12.  Partly cloudy Friday and Saturday with WSW breezes, a high of 32 Friday, 38 Saturday and lows of 21.  Still some clouds Sunday with a west breeze, a high of 30 and a low of 14.  AM snow showers Monday with a Ne breeze, a high of 29 and a low of 25.  A wintery mix next Tuesday morning with a brisk west breeze, a high of 38 and a low of 19.  Partly cloudy next Wednesday with a WNW breeze, a high of 30 and a low of 15.  Thursday, the 25th, starts a week of snow showers nearly every day but no great accumulation.  Highs will be in the twenties and lows in the low teens.

      Darel had a quiet but good day.  Having had a few good days he isn't sleeping as much so he is wishing the TV had more to offer.  We are thankful that the pellet stove keeps the front room warm even on cold days.

       I put out seed fro the flock of finches, they never showed up.  Yesterday we had our usual 20 or so.  Probably just as well, they ate so much!  The seed got cover with the dusting of snow we had last night.  so did the nice path of sand Gilbert put out for me to walk on to care for the hens.  I'm hoping the dusting was light enough so i can still see where it is.

        Even a gentle NE breeze cools this house down.  I'm very happy for warmer temperatures with no below zero temperatures in the forecast.  Not even single numbers!

And the days are getting longer.

       I spent a couple hours trying to make return address labels yesterday.  Finally called Avery, their system was down.  I wish I called them sooner instead of just thinking i was doing something wrong.  I did finally convince my computer I didn't need parts of the winter letter in bold.  At one time i had made a poster with some of the words in bold.  I had to rewrite, changing the wording  because it has decided those words should always be in bold!  Can't afford the ink to print a letter in bold!  With those two problems solved and a warm house today should go much better.
