Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Calm. 67 degrees with clouds. Isolated thunderstorms this morning, steady thunderstorms and showers this afternoon and evening.  2/10th to a half inch of rain, more rain in places that thunderstorms move over.  Light SW breezes except during storms, with highs of 85 and a low of 63 tonight.  Isolated thunderstorms tomorrow with light NE breezes, highs of 84 and lows about 62.  Sunny on Saturday with a north breeze, a high of 84 and a low of 59.  Showers Sunday lasting into Monday morning.  East breezes Sunday with a high of 75 and a low of 60. A light ESE breeze Monday with a high of 80 and a low of 60.  A light west breeze Tuesday with possible afternoon thunderstorms, a high of 88 and a low of 62.  Pleasant Wednesday and Thursday with SSW breezes, highs of 85 and lows of 62. Partly cloudy next Friday with a nice SSW breeze, a high of 79 and a low of 62.  Showers next Saturday with a WNW breeze, a high of 82 and a low of 60.  Sunny next Sunday and Monday with NW breezes, highs of 80 and lows of 59  Possible showers Tuesday, the 9th, pleasant Wednesday and Thursday with highs about 80.

     Hay went in the haymow steady yesterday.  The down stairs is all ready to put hay in.  We use a lot of cardboard for mulch.  We had some stacked in the way that we moved.  There was some colored cardboard, Gilbert burned it.  We don't use colored cardboard any place where we grow food.  We were mostly using the colored cardboard on the corner where we are trying to smother the bamboo (Japanese knot weed).

      I cleaned the big cooler that had been used to age the steer in.  Now it is ready when we have more vegetables than we can keep cool in the insulated chests with ice. We have two ice coolers full of cucumbers.   I'd like to clean my house refrigerators this afternoon, next will be defrosting the freezers.

      My blueberries are doing great this year, my raspberries not so well.  i picked enough raspberries to make a batch of jam yesterday.  Doug says they have more than they can pick, come over there and pick.  If it isn't raining yet when I get everything picked this morning I may leave the greenhouse with Tiffany and go pick some. Tiffany spent most of yesterday watering.  Between all the watering she did and thinking positive about today's weather we aren't going to do any watering today.  I need to get busy picking though.
