We finished with the meat including cooking up the scrapes for the chickens. They though tat was a great treat! yesterday was empty the dumpster day. Rosemarie had planned to top it off but since she went to the hospital with her Mom so Tiffany and I did some cleaning in the barn and had it heaped right up. Rosemarie's mother's heart is failing and she isn't strong enough for any surgery. Rosemarie spent the night in the hospital with her so her father could get a night's sleep.
Tiffany spent her time watering, plants that usually only get watered by Debbie Friday and Saturday. I watered the mums after Tiffany left. Rachael cut back some left over snap dragons and planted them in the kitchen garden. They will rebloom in August for the hummingbirds to feast on before they leave in early September. The hummingbirds are enjoying the feeders, they need to stay hydrated in the heat too! I did some more mulching.
Lots of picking, cucumbers are coming on strong. Gilbert has so many we dropped the price to 3/$1.00. We have so many zucchini and summer squash that they are 4/$1.00. Time to make zucchini bread and relish. We are getting a few tomatoes. It is so hot the blossoms aren't setting on the peppers.
