About half of the fall cauliflower is planted, soaked and mulched.    Some progress was made cleaning out the cow barn, some weeds were pulled, Rosemarie and Tiffany redid the display area and lots of watering was done yesterday.  Rachael planted some perennials for me, now I need to remember to keep them watered.  Darel finished cutting up the meat.  This morning he'll take the hamburger meat over to Maple Lane to be ground.  Rosemarie's mother was admitted to the hospital yesterday, Rosemarie is taking the day off so I can't take it over.  They are good over there, someone will come out to the truck and get the meat.
Doug and Nicole picked up two feeder pigs yesterday, one for them and one for us.  it will be so good to have our own pork again even though it won't save us any money..  Sally Jo will do most of the feeding and watering.  I already have some yellow squash for them.
Every day the sun rises a bit later and set a bit early, reminding us we need to keep getting ready for winter.  I can hear a chainsaw running,  someone is cutting wood in the cool of the morning.
      Have a good day, Sally
