7/19/17
It is not the perfect but the imperfect that are in need of love.

59 degrees, a few clouds and a light NE breeze.  A stiff NW breeze today with a high of 74 and a low of 53 tonight.  Sunny tomorrow with a stiff NW breeze, a high of 79 and a low of 56.  Sunny Thursday with a nice WSW breeze, a high of 86 and a low of 83.  Possible afternoon thunderstorms Friday with a stiff SW breeze, a high of 88 and a low of 64.  Possible afternoon thunderstorms again Saturday with a west breeze, a high of 84 and a low of 63.  Sunny Sunday with a WNW breeze, a high of 88 and a low of 63.  Partly cloudy next Monday through next Thursday with high temperatures in the mid eighties.  Four days of showers starting Friday, the 29th with highs in the mid eighties.
No complaints yesterday afternoon about the storm line breaking up and going either side of us.  Being on the storms' edges,we got three quarters of an inch of rain but none of the storm damage or loss of power others got.  Many got twice as much rain but their gardens are a mess along with downed trees and other damage.
Finally crates of summer squash and zucchini and several cucumbers.  Three tomatoes instead of the two we've been getting the last few days.  Soon i can put some peppers and tomatoes on the stand.  Gilbert put a head of cabbage in one of the coolers.
The Bailey order went in yesterday.  We'll add to it but the fruit trees are on order.  Hopefully we are early enough so there will not be any back order.  All trees have gone up five to eight dollars.   Weeping crab apples went up ten dollars!  I checked on line and other nurseries have increased their prices too.  I don't want to order from any other nursery,  Bailey's doesn't use neonicotinoids.
With the rain weeding will be easy today.  We want to get the fall broccoli mulched before we have to weed it.  We'll stick  some left over annuals in here and there.  A cool day, we should get lots done.
      Enjoy your day, Sally
