Very dark this morning thanks to the fog, the weather station says 99% humidity.  I've been having to turn on a light mornings.  I don't like that, means the days are already getting shorter.  Once again the storms went around us yesterday evening.  We did get three tenths of gentle rain why we were in church.  I dug dandelions and pulled wild mint along the edge of the flower garden under the living room windows.  Then put down newspaper and mulch for an edging.  I weeded the flower garden off the back deck and finished cleaning the flower garden under the kitchen window.  i was pleased with myself.  This afternoon I'll put nicotianas under the kitchen window for fragrance and the hummingbirds and plant odds and ends of leftover annuals in the rest of the space.
The rest of the summer my days will start with changing the ice in the coolers, switching soaker hoses and harvesting.  I'm going to plant flowers this morning, most days i'll weed when i get through harvesting,  There are always some weeds somewhere.  Doug is finished putting hay in the front of the barn.  This morning Tiffany will clean up the spilled hay and put the flower boxes along the barn.  They have been planted for some time, waiting for the hay to go in.  I'm going to put a few more leftover flowers in the boxes along the garage and make up a planter for the second picnic table.  then the south side of the house will be done.  Except for maintenance.  half the summer gone.  But we usually have a late fall.
     Have a good day, Sally
