7/10/16
Bitterness is a root that ruins the garden of peace. Holding on to disappointment allows bitterness to grow.

54 degrees, calm, patchy fog, mist and showers now, showers all day with a light ENE breeze, a high of 61 and a low of 52.  Fewer showers this afternoon, clearing overnight and sunny tomorrow with a NNW breeze, a high of 79 and low tomorrow night of 56.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a west breeze, a high of 85 and a low of 51.  Sunny Wednesday with a SW breeze, a high of 93 and a low of 66.  Widely scattered thunderstorms Thursday with a SSW breeze, a high of 88 and a low of 66.  Afternoon thunderstorms Friday with a SW breeze, a high of 80 and a low of 60.  Partly cloudy on the weekend and Monday with a NW breeze Saturday,  SW breezes Sunday and Monday,  highs of 85, lows about 57 to 60.  Sunny next Tuesday with a WNW breeze, a high of 83 and a low of 57.  Scattered thunderstorms Wednesday, the 20th, with a WNW breeze, a high of 80 and a low of 56.  Pleasant Thursday and Friday with showers on Saturday and highs about 89.
A lot of odds and ends got done yesterday. It was cool and cloudy, a good day for weeding and general sprucing up of the display areas.  I finished the pies and took them over to church.  When I closed Darel and I went to the bean supper where we meant up with friends, enjoyed visiting and a good meal.
I have a front loading washing machine.  It does a good job washing the clothes and spins them dryer than a top loading machine but it needs more cleaning.  Lots of bending over and kneeling down to get the gaskets all clean.  Last night I cleaned it thoroughly to make up for a couple of months of neglect.  Now I have to clean my refrigerators and defrost my freezers.  Maybe if it is raining after church.  We got 6/10th of an inch during the night.
I'm glad I filled the tube feeders.  Lots of finches and nuthatches are eating from them.  Almost any time if a person stands still and looks nuthatches can be seen running up and down one of the trees feeding.
      Have a good day, Sally
