Yesterday was a good day.  the rain didn't stop until about three.  Early enough for me to put in a day's work in the flower garden and late enough to give us over an inch of rain.  It was so nice to be able to put in several hours with no interruption but i slept until six this morning.  Now i'm hurrying I don't want to waste any of this beautiful day!
Many, especially kids, were missing in church yesterday.  Central School cheer leaders had a run in memory of the girl who died a few months ago during track in school of a "rare cardiac event".  Raining but over 200 people of all ages, including many many young people ran and painted the town purple with purple corn starch.   Purple was Katie's favorite color.  Not only the town but the deputy's car.  It was good to see so many people gathered for something good.
Our church's Vacation Bible School starts today.  The young people have worked very hard on costumes and a stage set to make it exciting for the younger ones.  There are many fine young people, they just don't make the news!
         Have a great day, Sally
