It was good i got as much watering done before church as I did. After church Mike showed up with some rib eye steak and the other kids showed up with salad, cake and ice cream. Doug ate quickly and headed to the hayfield. I had to go water the display area even though everyone was here. I didn't get much else done. Looking out the window I can see at least three wagon loads of hay out in the field waiting to be unloaded. Doug's hay crew doesn't work on Sundays.
Today will be a big push to get the rest of the garden planted. I need to take seedlings, fertilizer and "voodoo" juice up to the garden now. Shortly Gilbert will be here for the tractor to till where the rest of the squash and pumpkins go. We put some fertilizer in each hole and fill the hole with compost tea before we put the seedlings in the hole. Lots of tea as hot and dry as it is. the fertilizer is an organic fertilizer. The plants are quite large but they are in four and five inch pots so they will do fine. There are so many killdeer running around that part of the garden that at least two pair must have hatched babies.
When Gilbert gets through with the tractor Darel will want to put some wood in before it gets too hot.
Have a good day. Sally
