Lots of planting got done yesterday, more will get done today.  Tiffany finished weeding the potatoes and put more hay on half of them  She will finish today.  I don't know if Rachael and i will get everything planted but we will make big dent on it.  Rachael can only work a few hours.  She is helping with middle school basketball camp mornings and has summer soccer practice late afternoon.  Even with such a full day she wants to work so she has money for drivers ed this fall.  Rosemarie has the day off.
Many loads of hay went in the barn.  Darel put some wood in.  We spend the summer getting ready for the winter.
Just as I got the church box all cleaned out and ready to plant a church meeting got out.  i had carefully dug the pansies and laid them on on a plastic bag, putting the weeds in other bags.  The pansies immediately left for new homes.  Holes appeared in the box, were filled with compost tea and I set the begonias in.  Never was the box planted so fast and everything cleaned up.  Just as i was leaving Little Andrew drove in to see if i needed help.  He fixed the blocks that had been knocked out of place, perhaps by the snow plow.Even though i put sixteen gallons in the box Sunday and another 16 last night it isn't very wet.  Tomorrow when i go to the doctor's i'm going to put another 16 gallons in it and mulch it good.  We have just about enough Coast of Maine mulch left.  It is more expensive but it has lobster meal and seaweed in it improve the soil.  No one thought I would sell all the compost and soils I bought but it is nearly all gone.
I have a leak in the onion soaker hose.  i need to go fix it and turn it on.  I'm not counting on Wednesday's rain.  i keep telling customers, "Don't plant more garden than you can weed and water."
      Have a good day, Sally
