A cold raw day yesterday.  Most of the day  a low fire was going in the greenhouse.  The flowers that are out on the display benches don't seem any worse for wear. The day started with a call that the chicks were here.  So off to the feed store so I could get back in time to open.  For now the chicks are in a box in the get together room.  I'll move them out to the brooder when they are a little bigger and I don'e need to run two heat lamps.  The rest of the day when I wasn't waiting on customers I was cleaning house.  Sometimes I just have to stop greenhouse work and tend to my house.  Darel didn't feel like walking into the store for his prescriptions so we went after them when I closed.  When I got home I fed the birds (after the grackles went to roost) Stoked the fires and went to bed.
Today we'll heel in strawberry plants, transplant more trays of the cabbage family and plant more cucumber seeds.  There is room to move the rest of the waves from the back room into the main greenhouse.  Probably Monday we'll move in the small ones from the hoop house.  We'll have to make sure to warn everyone that buys hanging plants abut the strong west winds Monday.
The clouds have already lifted some, it looks like a nice day, the breeze will keep away the black flies.  Enjoy your day, Sally
