God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to produce rain, broken grain to produce bread and broken bread to give strength.

 A fire going in the greenhouse with a west wind, mostly cloudy and 36 degrees.   A high of 49 today with a low of 39 tonight.  Mostly cloudy tomorrow with a stiff NWN breeze, a high of 59 and a low of 39.  15 and 30 day forecasts do not show another cold snap.  Sunny on Wednesday with light NW breeze, a high of 67 and a low of 46.

PM showers Thursday with a light NNW breeze, a high of 69 and a low of 46.  Sunny Friday through the weekend and next Monday with NW breezes until Monday when the breeze switches to the WSW.  Highs will be about 76 with lows about 49.  PM showers next Tuesday with a SW breeze, a high of 77 and a low of 52.  Partly cloudy next Wednesday and Thursday with a SE breeze Wednesday and a SW breeze Thursday.  Highs will be about 77 and lows about 52.  Friday, the 27th,  will be partly cloudy  with a west breeze, a high of 76 and a low of52.  Partly cloudy Saturday, the 28th, with a WSW breeze, a high of 74 and a low of 51.  Showers Sunday, the 29th, with a west breeze, a high of 73 and a low of 50.

     i do hope the forecasts are right.  So far with this cold snap we haven't gotten enough rain to say at least the rain is good.  Maybe a half to 3 quarters of an inch in all.  It is too cold for the bees to fly and my plum tree blossoms are opening.  Will Wednesday be soon enough for them to get pollinated?

     I finally have hummingbirds.  They are very happy to find the petunias all in blossom on the display stands.They are using the two feeders in front of the house.  It is too windy for them to use the ones in the kitchen garden.

     Tiffany will probably dress warm and work in the perennial display again today, there are no black flies.  Each pot needs fertilized.  I think we are going to mulch them all this year.  I don't see much rain,  I'm thinking we need to think about conserving moisture with everything we do.

      Darel has an early doctor's appointment this morning, his regular 3 month check.  I go with him, he tends to only hear what he wants to hear.  He says I go to throw him under the bus.
