 34 degrees with white ground, fog and mist.  Showers start late this morning becoming steady rain this afternoon into the night.  Today's high will be 49 with strong south winds and a low of 44 tonight.  Showers tomorrow with a strong south breeze, a high of 51 and a low of 31.  Partly cloudy Saturday with a west breeze, a high of 46 and a low of 26.  Morning clouds/afternoon sun on Sunday with a NW wind, a high of 37 and a low of 24.  PM showers Monday with a NW wind, a high of 44 and a low of 32.  Rain Tuesday lasting into Wednesday morning.  A south wind Tuesday with a high of 53 and a low of 36. A NNW breeze Wednesday with a high of 50 and a low of 29.  Mostly sunny next Thursday with a high of 50, a NNW breeze, and a low of 29.  Friday, the 15th, through Thursday, the 21st,  will be pleasant with highs in the upper fifties and lows in the high thirties.

     The pansies and violas were moved to one of the small greenhouses yesterday.  They needed to get out of the warm greenhouse and we needed the room.  The violas aren't as cold tolerant as the pansies.  I have a blanket handy to cover them on the cold nights this weekend.  I would much rather have put the pansies outside but the snow would have flattened them and the high winds would have torn them up.  Today the asylum will join the pansies.

      I pay for line insurance with Fairpoint each month.  I have questioned spending the money but yesterday proved its worth.  The  telephone line to the store and the greenhouse went out in Friday's wind.  yesterday the Fairpoint technician rode his bucket up through the branches in the pine tree to the problem.  When the line was run several years ago it was attached to the pine tree with a very large stable that allowed the line to slip back and forth when the wind blew.  Even though the pine tree is over 100 years old it is still growing.  It had grown around the staple until the wire could no longer slip.  The technician redid the connection so it will be trouble free for a long time, probably the life of the tree.  And I have service to the store ad greenhouse again.  As I start selling I need the debit/credit card machine.  Debit pay is now so popular I don't have the huge amounts of cash at the end of the day I used too.

       We moved some flowers to the back room.  More flowers and herbs will go out there today.  After this weekend's cold the herbs will go outside and the the flowers to a small un heated greenhouse.  On cold nights I can heat the back room by opening the door.
