Quite a storm Thursday night.  I checked the greenhouse with care when i got up with the fires fearing I would find a tear starting.  The greenhouses came through fine and we never lost power.  All around us did, which was why I didn't have internet service.  Water everywhere with lakes in places that should have been dry ground.  The Maine Stream internet owner was checking his lines, parks where he always does and had to walk to Gilbert's to have Gilbert pull him out.  Some of the coldframes didn't fare too well but they are just plastic over PVC hoops and easily redone.  Nothing had been moved into them because I was watching the forecast.   Tonight and tomorrow night than this cold high wind pattern breaks.    We'll be tucking the pansies in tonight!
Today I'll be making sure all the coldframes and the little greenhouses are ready for plants.  Pansies could go outside Monday but I won't put them out until after the rain.  They are so pretty i don't want them to get battered.  Our grand opening is Maine Greenhouse and Nursery Day on April 30th but we will open for the season Wednesday when the pansies go out on the benches.
      Have a good day, Sally
