Money can't buy happiness but it can buy cows. Cows give us cream so we can make ice cream and ice cream makes people happy!

Clear, calm and 22 degrees (it has't been 22 very long, there is no ice on the kitchen garden pond., it was 27 at 2AM)  Partly cloudy today with a NW breeze, a high of 49 and a low of 25 tonight.  Sunny tomorrow with a light NW breeze, a high of 54 and a low of 30.  Sunny Saturday, Open Greenhouse Day, with a light NW breeze, a high of 54 and a low of 30.  Cloudy Sunday with a SSE breeze, a high of 60 and a low of 34.  PM rain Monday with  a high of 50 and a low of 39.   AM showers Tuesday with and ENE breeze, a high of 57 and a low of 39.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a SW breeze, a high of 62 and a low of 43.  AM showers next Thursday with an ENE breeze, a high of 59 and a low of 43.  Cloudy next Friday with a west breeze, a high of 61 and a low of 43.  Showers Saturday, May 7th, lasting into Sunday AM.  A ENE breeze Saturday with a high of 65 and a low of 43.   Sunday, Mother's Day, there will be a NW breeze with a high of 65 and a low of 45.  Showers the week of the 9th with highs in the upper sixties and lows in the upper forties.

     One more night of tucking in plants.  The bareroot perennials we have been planting have little shoots so they need to be blanketed too. So far all the flowers look perky when I uncover them mornings.  Monday I'll be putting flowers out of the greenhouse with remay over them to help the adjust to the outside.  I want to

transplant more tomatoes, peppers and warm weather flowers like zinnias.  Last year people looked at all the tomato and pepper plants and said I'd never sell them all, I did.

      Yesterday was pleasant if a person was in the sun, sheltered from the wind.  I spent most of the day watering.  I'll be glad when the showers come to give me a break.

       Onion sets and onion plants came yesterday.  We won't get to planting the plants until next week, it would be better for them to be planted today and tomorrow.   We will heel some plants in 601's for customers who want to plant some sweet onions.

        The cookie jar is empty and the floors need cleaning so I need to get started on my day.  Enjoy yours, Sally.
