The sun is already raising the temperature. It got cold earlier last night, the maple syrup pond in the kitchen garden has ice on it. hopefully with today's strong sun it will take longer for tonight's temperature to drop. The cold keeps us revising our plans. I've decided not to put together any containers of flowers to sell Saturday, Friday night is looking too iffy.
Bareroot pink and white bleeding hearts have arrived. Rose and Dale will pot them up today. Many of them have little sprouts so we will have to blanket them.
Bleeding hearts don't like to be planted deep. With the sun we will be back to watering. We are looking forward to some showers to hold the sun's warmth.
This morning's ag headline, "No peach crop in New England do to the cold temperatures." We may have some damage but no total crop loss. No golf ball sized hail, floods or tornados either!
Have a good day, Sally
