Spring is here.  We were so anxious and now there aren't enough hours in the day!  Moving plants, bumping plants up into larger pots, pruning plants and transplanting more.  So far the plants are all healthy and just need room to grow.  The pansies are ready to be planted so their bright colors can cheer everyone up as they signal the changing season.  The air is filled with bird song and I'm hoping to hear peepers tonight.
Today we are potting up tomato plants to give away Open Greenhouse and Nursery Day, April 30th.  Yesterday Rosemarie bumped up perennial herbs and put them outside.  I pruned pansy pots and put them outside.  They wanted out a week ago!  They are covered with buds, ready to open to the the sun.  The rest of the pansies will go out tomorrow and we will be open for the season.
Everything won't be in its place, the Paris Farmer's Union order is coming today.  It will take a few days to unpack it.  Besides the bags of soil and compost we've always had we are going to have a wide choice of Coast of Maine products.  We ran out of Coast of Maine compost and soil quickly last year and customers were asking us to carry more of their products.  Last year at this time we were postponing the paris Farmer's union shipment because of snow drifts.  Lil Andrew had to shovel out a display bench so we could put out pansies!
       Have a good day, Sally.
