I moved the clocks ahead last night. Except for the atomic clock that got moved a head at 2AM from Colorado Springs. All these years we've had that clock and it still amazes me. Now i have to go put wood on the greenhouse fire because the sun won't be high enough to warm it for a hour of so. It has been nice not to have to go out there first thing. When I go out I'll have to hang on the door as hard as the wind is blowing.
As I came back across the yard a skunk came through the yard on its way to the cow barn from the field across the road. We've been pretty sure one was living in the barn. We'll be careful if we go in the barn for anything but we'll leave it alone. We don't have a barn cat anymore, it can eat any rats or mice we may have.
Yesterday was another busy day. Gilbert came down to pick up the boards and tires that had been holding down the perennial cover. Why he was here we went through the perennial benches, they are made of stacked pallets. He pulled out the broken pallets and replaced them with good ones. We had enough good ones to replace all but one broken one. He loaded the broken ones in his truck and took them home to burn in his outside wood boiler. Gilbert wondered if I'd have enough perennials to refill the display. We'll more than refill it. We have about 300 perennials started in the greenhouse plus I have orders from two nurseries coming of perennials I can't start myself. Early in the season I'll have some pollinator favorites on sale in packs of five because i have more plants than I have display room for.
Tiffany spent the day using the printer to print off forms for scholarships. She had the essays written, she just needed the information in her financial aid package to fill out the forms. Lexi has been filling out forms for scholarships too.
We begin Easter today in Sunday School by enacting the Lord's Supper with the kids. This afternoon will be "clean the floors". With so much mud and so many people in and out Friday and yesterday they look like I might be thinking about starting a garden in here.
Have a good day, Sally
